  1. I wonder, why did the divergence got to a different one after erasing the DMail in SERN’s database… shouldn’t it be the same divergence than at the series beginning?

    • it could be that the beta world line in the first episode and the world line from when okabe return is different because of okabe himself. because he knows the events that happened in alpha world line he and daru manage to complete a time machine based on kurisu and sern’s research which caused him to try to rescue kurisu and failed and realize the way to open the steins;gate which sets up the events in the finale of the story.

    • In a logical sense, yes it should be. However, there are many variables which have caused this number to differ from the original, for example, Okabe’s memories, Different events occuring, the butterfly effect and Millenium Bug Effect. It could also be the death of some people, as In the visual novel, John Titor said that if someone died, the divergence number would change by 0.000002%
